Here are the dates of the Chicnic at sunset 2025: Friday 4th July and Friday 1st August.
We renew the collaboration with Chefs Fabrizio and Andrea Girasoli, with one Michelin starred- restaurant Butterfly in Marlia.
A gourmet proposal in a picnic version to be enjoyed lying on one of the blankets overlooking the lake, waiting for the sunset, drinking a glass of sparkling wine.
To complete the experience, a violin in background will accompany the evening.
Stroll through the gardens and discover the history of the property by visiting the museums, then take a seat at 7 pm in one of the blankets set up in the Café area, after picking up your basket.
Due to the exceptional nature of the chicnic, it will be necessary to book the entrance with the picnic by the Monday before the event, buying online the deposit.
We ask you to indicate any allergies or requests for vegetarian menus once you have made your purchase, no later than the previous Monday.

The price is per person and includes:
– exclusive entrance at sunset to the park of Villa Reale
– picnic basket (minimum 2 people; 1 bottle of classic French method sparkling wine every 2 guests, 1 juice per child)
– stations with blanket already set up.
For those who want to visit the museums, it is possible to add €6 per person for the visit of the Royal Villa with the apartments of Napoleon’s sister and the Clock House with the collections of Countess Pecci Blunt – last entry at 18:30.
How does it take place? You will find everything in the central lawn, in the area near the Café: the blankets with pillows will be prepared according to the reservations received. Just relax and pick up your basket at the Café from 19:00.
At what time? We recommend to arrive around 17:30, so to have time to visit the park and the two museums (with an additional ticket of € 6.00) and then reach the Café where you can pick up your basket between 19:00 and 20:00. The event ends with darkness.
Where to book baskets? It is possible to reserve on our online shop from May.
Once the booking has been made, you’ll receive an email that we kindly ask you to present at the tickets’ office on the evening of the event, where the rest of the participation fee will be paid (by card or cash).
The chicnic area will be set up according to the reservations – you can not change the arrangement of blankets on the evening of the picnic. In the case of several friends would like to participate together, we kindly ask you to make just one reservation or notify by email which reservations are “together”.
Choice of menu or any allergies? We ask you to reply to the email once the payment has been made, indicating if you want the vegetarian basket and/or we have any allergies, not later than the Monday before the event.
Requests received on the day of the event cannot be satisfy.
Is the deposit refundable? No, if you do not attend the event (on the official date or on the date of recovery due to rain) we kindly ask you to notify us in advance.
Is it possible to visit the museums? Of course, it is possible to add €6.00 directly to the ticket office to visit the Royal Villa and the Clock House. The last entrance is at 18:30, closing time at 19:00.
Is it possible to reserve the day of the event? No, reservations will close the previous Monday.

The shooting stars weekend dedicated to art.
The art festival “Le Rinascenze” returns in the night version among the gardens of Villa Reale di Marlia during the weekend of San Lorenzo.
Theatrical performances, pictorial exhibitions, cultural meetings and much more from 18 to 24 on Saturday 9th August and Sunday 10th August, with the artistic direction of the association Kreativa.
Many artists will animate the park of Villa Reale with shows and performances among the illuminated gardens: dancers, painters, theater players, photographers, improvisers, singers, sculptors and jugglers, ready to surprise spectators of all ages.
The complete program of the event will be available soon, so to organize the visit and not miss any show of the two evenings.
As every year, we host the exhibitions of painting, sculpture and photography within the stables and lemon houses, which can be visited already from Monday 4th August during opening hours to the public.

How to access the park with the online ticket? Once you have purchased your ticket online, you will receive your electronic tickets via email. On the day of the event, we ask you to go directly at the entrance gate with the QRcode received, the digital copy will be sufficient.

Two female figures who have characterized the past of Villa Reale: Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi and Anna Laetitia Pecci Blunt.
Three events dedicated to them are edited by Roberta Martinelli and Simonetta Giurlani Pardini of Associazione Napoleone ed Elisa: da Parigi alla Toscana on the first Sunday of May, June and July.
At its second edition, this year the meetings will be focused on fashion in vogue during the two different historical moments: the first appointment will be dedicated to the style of Elisa Baciocchi Bonaparte, while the other two conferences will be dedicated to the eccentric Mimi Pecci Blunt.
Sunday 4th May, Sunday 1st June and Sunday 6th July in the North Lemon House at 11:00.

Silent Wifi piano concert and immersive walk with Andrea Vizzini on 25th April 2025.
More than a concert, a suggestive multisensory experience in which you will be completely immersed in an active and new way, a concert performed in the park of Villa Reale di Marlia.
Friday 25th April 2025 at 15:30. The Lucca Classical Music Festival will offer an experience of great suggestion when you can fully immerse yourself in the music and the environment that surrounds it. This is the Silent wifi concert®, a silent piano concert, designed by pianist Andrea Vizzini, who has involved and excited more than 20,000 spectators throughout Italy and Europe in the latest years. All participants will be provided with high-fidelity headphones to listen to the “itinerant” music proposed by Vizzini.
You’ll be free to move within a radius of 500 meters so to appreciate the natural and architectural suggestions in which you are immersed in, “you will experience” music with all your senses and you will be natural protagonists of a performance.
You can access from the morning to enjoy a complete experience:
-you can visit the museums of Villa Reale and the Palazzina dell’Orologio from 10:30 to 15:30
-you can let yourself be guided by the free video guides in the park from 10
-you can enjoy a picnic on the lawn
You can pick up the Yamaha headphones in the Café area from 15:00; the concert starts at 15:30. Duration about 60 minutes.
The Café Villa Reale will remain open until 17:30 for those who want to listen to the concert in front of a glass of wine, or for those who want to refresh after the evocative walk accompanied by the concert of Andrea Vizzini.
The Silent Wifi Concert at Villa Reale will open the Lucca Classica Music Festival, an event organized by the Musical Association of Lucca with the collaboration of the Giglio Theatre. The Festival is supported by Mibac, Regione Toscana, Provincia e Comune di Lucca, Camera di Commercio di Lucca, Lucca Promos and Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Fondation.
