Magical Christmas returns to Villa Reale on December 7th and 8th, 14th and 15th, and 21st and 22nd, 2024, from 2 PM to 9 PM. Enjoy the enchanting Christmas atmosphere, with the aroma of mulled wine and burning wood in the Nordic braziersas, in one of the most iconic locations in Tuscany.

This year there will be three weekends to live the most magical moment of the year immersed in the park of Villa Reale di Marlia with a great news for this edition!

Villa Reale will host some of the handmade nativity scenes of Fontanini Presepi company, born in 1908 in Bagni di Lucca and became an important reality at international level in the art of creating nativity sets and scenes of high quality.

Fontantini Presepi stands out for its ability to combine craft techniques handed down from four generations with an innate creativity, giving life to unique nativity scences that celebrate the magic of Christmas and the beauty of local culture, works of art made with meticulous care, using fine materials and refined details.

It is possible to admire four examples of nativity scenes of different sizes during the event Magical Christmas of Villa Reale:

Inside the Miniature room, you can admire the nativity scenes with statues of 18 cm.
In the adjacent blue room of the Clock House, statues of 45 cm will be set up inside the fireplace of the former kitchens.
Large statues, around 125 cm, will create the nativity inside the St. Francis Xavier’s Chapel.
There will be life-size statues (180 cm) in front of the Royal Villa.

Also this year, Santa Claus and his elves will visit the young visitors of Villa Reale di Marlia.

It will be an unmissable opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas in family in our stables, with creative workshops. Children will not miss the opportunity to write their own letter for Santa in a cozy atmosphere of lights, music and Christmas decorations.

There are also more than 30 wooden games built with salvage wood or woodworking waste, ideal to stimulate concentration, strategic skills, coordination, skill and cooperation, ideal for players of all ages!

FAQ – Magical Christmas 2024

What is the event like? It is possible to amke the visit of the park from 2PM to 9PM, in winter/Christmas version, where you will find the light installations, Santa Claus, the handmade cribs, the mulled wine/hot chocolate. You can also add a visit of the interiors of the Royal Villa and the Clock House. The area around the lake will be closed from 17.
When should I arrive? The park opens at 2:00 pm and closes at 9:00 pm so you can come whenever you like.
Will there be entertainment for children? Santa and his elves will wait for the children in the stables for thematic workshops.
How much does it cost?
-Infants 0-2 years: Free
-Children from 3 to 9 years: €5
-Adults from 18 to 64 years: €12 only park, €18 park + museums
-Children from 10 to 17 years and over 65: €9 only park, €15 park + museums
How to enter the park with the online ticket? Once you have purchased your online ticket, you will receive your e-tickets by email. On the day of the event we ask you to present directly at the ticket office with the received QRcode, the digital copy will be enough.
Can I buy tickets on the day of the event? Only in case of availability. We strongly recommend online purchase.
Are the Cafés open? Yes, the Cafès will be at your disposal. Vinbrulè, hot chocolate and Christmas sweets will be the protagonists in the courtyard of the Clock House! The park closes at 9 PM so to allow you to go out for dinner.
In case of rain? The event will be held anyway.
Is the ticket refundable? No, it is only valid for the date you have chosen; if you cannot come you can give it to others. Once the corresponding tickets are validated, they will not be usable by others who present themselves with the same order number.
Do season ticket holders have to buy a ticket? Only for children, repling to the ticket receipt email indicating that there are no adults in the order because you are season ticket holders.

New mysterious path in search of the treasure among the haunted gardens and buildings of Villa Reale di Marlia.
Who will be the spectre that this year will make jokes and riddles hiding in the most unknown corners of the park?

Come and discover it on October 26th and 27th and November 2nd and 3rd from 10 AM onwards!

For the fifth consecutive year, we are glad to confirm one of the most anticipated events for children – the Halloween-themed treasure hunt that will see ghosts, vampires, witches and wizards rush in search of clues in the park of Villa Reale with the aim of finding the treasure that will reveal their prize.

The appointment for this edition is for the two weekends straddling the Halloween night: October 26th and 27th then November 2nd and 3rd.

Given the exceptional presence of monstrous figures in the park during these days, we will open the tunnel of the basement of Clock House – secret passage visited over the years just for the occasion!

Pumpkins will not be lacking, as sweets and haunted corners. We are planning scary news to celebrate this new edition of Halloween Celebration KIDS.

FAQ

Who is the hunt for? Families with children from 3 years old – the little ones can participate by selecting the free ticket (0-3 years), in this case there is no final prize, otherwise by selecting the €8 ticket so to reserve them the Halloween prize too.
How does it take place? Children go in search of the treasure together with their families and friends following the map given at the entrance gate. Once you have found all the clues and solved the riddles, you will find out where the treasure is! Each child will take home a small prize.
At what time? You can arrive whenever you prefer from 10 AM until 4 PM, last recommended entry.
How much does it cost?
–Infants 0-2 years: Free – in this case there is no final prize, otherwise select the €8 ticket so as to reserve the themed prize for them too.
–Children from 3 to 17 years: €8 – to participate to the treasure hunt with the final prize. This ticket allows them to enter museums.
–Adults from 18 to 64 years: €12 park only, €18 park + museums
–Over 65: €9 park only, €15 park + museums
Will the children be with an animator? No, the hunt has no fixed time and it is played with the family and friends.
Where can I buy tickets? Starting from the month of September a special section on our online shop will be active.
How to access the park with the online ticket? Once you have purchased your ticket online, you will receive your electronic tickets via email. Please reply to this email so to request the english version of the cues. On the day of the event, we ask you to go directly at the entrance gate with the QRcode received, the digital copy will be sufficient.
Can I purchase tickets on the day of the event? In case of residual availability only.
Is it possible to have lunch in the park? The Cafè Villa Reale will be at your disposal with cold dishes, artisan foccacce, cakes and ice creams continuously from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Table reservations are not accepted.
Where is it possible to enjoy a picnic? Picnics are possible in the side areas of the lake, making sure you leave no trace when you are done.
If we are more families can we play together? Yes, you will choose when to start the treasure hunt once you have entered.
How long does the hunt last? On average 1 hour. You can stay in the park even after the hunt is over, by 6 PM.
In case of rain? The event will still take place, in which case we recommend rubber boots for a playful adventure!
Is the ticket refundable? No, it is valid only for the chosen date; if you can’t come you can give it to others. Once the corresponding tickets have been delivered, they will not be given back to others who present themselves with the same order number.
Do season ticket holders have to buy a ticket? Only for children participating in the hunt, repling to the ticket receipt email indicating that there are no adults in the order because you are season ticket holders.

Rinascenze by night Festival 2024: Three evenings of mid-August dedicated to art among the magic of the illuminated gardens of Villa Reale di Marlia.

The event “Le Rinascenze”, organized by Kreativa, a local school dedicated to art in all its forms, will return during the weekend around San Lorenzo night in its evening version: Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August from 6PM until midnight.

A program full of events (available from early summer), which will be repeated in three evenings will feature numerous artists: dancers, painters, theater, photographers, improvisers, singers, sculptors and jugglers for a real blaze of art.

The illuminated gardens of Villa Reale will be the setting and not only, for performances for adults and for children too. There will also be exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and photos in the stables and lemon houses, already open from the previous week.

Additionally different musical proposals, several theater performances and cultural meetings for three nights in which the initiatives will be continuously performed under the starry sky of Villa Reale.

The appointments with aperitifs in the garden are for Friday 7th June, 28th June, 12th July and 26th July.

Stroll through the gardens and reach the Villa Reale Café to taste a Royal Elisa accompanied by finger food.

You will find blankets and pillows on the lawn to enjoy the atmosphere of the gardens at sunset with the background music of the Restauro Band that accompany the evening with the duo guitar and voice of Emiliano and Irene.

FAQ – Aperitivando

At what time? It will be possible to access the park from 18, the aperitif will end by 22:00.
Where does it take place? At the Café of Villa Reale. You will find blankets on the meadows around the Café where you can sit, as well as tables and chairs.
How much does it cost? The cost is €15.00 per person including park entrance and one cocktail.
How to book? Select the date on the calendar of our shop online.
Will the ticket purchased online be refundable? No, if you can’t attend the event, you can give your ticket to friends and relatives who can use it on the booked date.

In case of rain? The event will be postponed to August 2.

Let yourself be inspired by the last edition

On the nights of Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October 2024, it will again be possible to venture into the darkness in the park of Villa Reale, through a new traveling show that will allow you to immerse yourself in a fantastic story made up of places, entities and mysteries.

The attendants of Villa Reale will accompany each tour in the darkest corners of the park with a new spooky tale, for the 30th amazing edition of Halloween Celebration .

FAQS AND USEFUL INFO FOR MISTERICA AT VILLA REALE (LU)

How it takes place: The mysterious visit will leave every quarter of an hour from the main gate and the group will be accompanied to the haunted gardens all the time.
Language of actors: ITALIAN.
What time: Mystery tours will start every 15 minutes, from 7pm till midnight.
Duration: Each tour/show will last approximately 50 minutes.
How many people per tour? Maximum 30 people.
Reservation: mandatory by pre-purchasing the special Misterica tickets on our website, which will be available from the end of summer. Minors MUST be accompanied.
Is the ticket purchased online refundable? No, in case of failure to attend the event you can give your ticket to friends and relatives who will be able to use it on the date and time booked.
Can I book on the day of the event? Only in case of residual availability.
In case of rain: the event will still take place so comfortable shoes and adventure!
Can I buy the ticket on the spot? Only if not all available tickets have been sold, priority to those who buy the ticket online, and eventually only until the maximum number of tickets that can be sold is reached, i.e. 30 people for each tour.
Even if I have a season ticket, do I have to book and pay for Misterica? Yes, since it is an extra event, only the surcharge due to the event will be requested.
Is the tour accessible? The tour is partially accessible and for this reason an ad hoc itinerary has been created at 8.30pm both on Fridays and Saturdays. People with disabilities and their companion will be able to participate for free but must still make a reservation!
Can you park near the entrance? Yes, 2 parking spaces are available, one on the avenue leading to the entrance and the other following the signs for P2.
How far is Lucca? 10 minutes (7km).

Given the great success of the first edition last May, the appointment with the Vintage Market of Villa Reale di Marlia for Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29!

We will open again our lemon houses where it will be possible to browse among the objects belonging to the counts Pecci Blunt. We are already working to find many unique pieces inside the Palazzina dell’Orologio, excited to be able to give a second life to pieces of the Villa’s history.

Saturday 28 September and Sunday 29 September will be an excellent opportunity to take home a memory of the past of Villa Reale and take the opportunity to walk in the sixteen hectares of park and learn about history through our museums.

The vintage market will be accessible to all those who buy the park ticket, to which it will be possible to add €6 to visit the private collections of the Countess Pecci Blunt inside the Palazzina dell’Orologio and the rooms in empire style of Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi.

How does it take place? You will find the objects for sale in the lemon houses of the historic park of Villa Reale!
What time? From 10:00 to 18:00.
Where to book the entrance? We recommend to buy the ticket on our shop online to skip the line! Park only ticket to see the market.
Can I visit museums? Of course, you can add €6.00 to the park ticket for a visit to the Royal Villa and the Clock House.
In case of rain? The market is covered as it takes place in lemon houses and the park and museums can be visited even in the rain!
What objects can I find?! Games, vases, dishes, glasses, phones, tables, lampshades, benches, chairs, cabinets, mirrors, and…. come and see by yourself!
Should seasonal ticket holders have to buy a ticket? No, the admission is free.

GUIDED TOURS - Italian/English, Friday and Saturday

You can enjoy a guided tour of the gardens at Villa Reale, on Friday and Saturday afternoon at 15:00 (and on some Sundays in August and September in the morning at 10:30). Prepare yourself to be delighted!

Check availability on the online calendar and buy your ticket in advance for your preferred start time. Remember that the tour lasts at least 90 minutes.
